1968: Repression of the Prague Spring in Czechoslovakia

The "Prague Spring" describes the reform efforts of the Communist Party (KSC) under Alexander Dubcek in Czechoslovakia in the spring of 1968, when the USSR let the Warsaw Pact troops crush the uprising in blood. The attempt to create a "socialism with a human face" had failed for the time being.
